When I saw the name of the film, it cough my attention. Then I read the wrong storyline in netflix (I realized it was wrong when I finished watching the film) and thought it will be interesting. Then, when the film started, I was about to leave it as, at first, I didn't see the need of the black and white shoots. At the end turns out to be a boring film, bad acting, bad cinematography and so on.... Not worth watching in a million years. For my super big surprise it won a prize at Canes!! and UK and Spain!! why? I really don't know...

If you want to waste your time, watch this. If you want to get bored in the first 1.5 hours and then get disappointed with the last 10 minutes, watch this. I was about to turn it off but I really can't... I only have stopped watching one film in my life and this film was way to close to be the second one.  To be honest, doesn't deserve any review at all. Im going to bed.

Comment: So, I had another go with this director and it was deeply dissapointed. Let's say that he got better with age! There is no way to compare either The Syrian Bride (2004) and Lemon Tree (2008)with this film! I will only say that during the film I took plenty of time to find and kill a mosquito flying around my room without stoping the film.

Comment: I am terribly sorry but I think is the worst movie EVER! (don't tell anyone but I'm just exaggerating!... I've seen much worst! but trust me! it's very bad!).  To start with (and to finish with) the acting is sooooooooo but so so so so so bad that I still can't believe that these two great current actors started over here.... Gael Garcia Bernal (yes! acting bad!!) and then Diego Luna (yes... bad). I have to say that I think they both are great actors now; Gael has an unfinished list of great films and Diego Luna just did an astonish performance in MILK but nonetheless I wont forgive them for this film!!! I even bought it!!! I saw the film a long time ago and totally forgot how bad it was and then I bought it last year, saw it and almost go to Virgin for a refund! But the winner was Maribel Verdu... I don't even know what to say about her acting!!! I am giving some Uchuvas ONLY for the story that if you have the ability to forget about this horrible acting you will realized that the plot could have brought a great film out of it. Ok, tell everyone I am exaggerating but ... I warned you!! Don't forget that this is what I and only I think... The Oscar's, BTAFF and lots of others (but no Cannes, that's why I love Cannes!!) gave nominations to this film... so, again, you have a go and let me know!!!

Comment: I think this movie is very boring. Nothing really happens all along the film. The main character is too boring. The story is not attractive at all. I give all my credits (all of them!) to Jack Black (every single time that he appears, I laughed) without him in the film I would have gave "0" Uchuvas to it.
